In the world of Pokemon, at the age of eighteen you get to choose a starter pokemon and go on a journey across the region. Your goal is to try to become the champion. The way to become the champion is to engage in Pokemon battles, the more battles you win, the more status you have. There are people in the world who bond with their Pokemon, while others only see them as tools/ means to an end. The “evil team” is trying to set all Pokemon free (to liberate them from their trainers) to live in the wild without human interference.
